How to shop at


How can I learn more about a product?
When you have found a product you are interested in on, just click on the product. Then, to the right, you will see a short description of the product and its price. All prices are listed in Danish Kroner, but can also be converted to US dollars or Euros by clicking on “View prices in USD or Euros,” in the lower right hand corner of your shopping cart’s screen.
What if I want the item gift wrapped?
If some, or all, of your purchases are gifts, we will happily gift wrap them for you – at no extra charge! All you have to do is check the box marked “Giftwrap,” when you see the overview of your purchases in your shopping cart. .
How do I check out?
When you have finished selecting the items you wish to purchase, click on “Checkout,” located to the right of the current product, or under your shopping cart when you hover the mouse over it. Then fill in the required information marked with an asterisk – your address, the delivery address, shipping option and form of payment. If, at any time, you wish to return to the shop, just click on “continue shopping.”
What if I am already a registered user at
If you are already a registered user, all you have to do is click on “Log In,” in the far upper right corner, enter your email address and your password. This will automatically bring up all your personal data. With an account at, you also have quick access to your current purchases, as well as your shopping history.
What if the purchase is a gift?
If your purchase is a gift, all you have to do is click the box where it says that the gift should be sent to another address than the purchaser’s address.
Can my purchases be sent anywhere in the world?
Yes. We send your purchases wherever you want them sent – be it New York, Nairobi, New Delhi, or Nagano.
When will I receive my purchase?
All shipments within Denmark are delivered by Post Danmark. All shipments outside of Denmark are sent via UPS or Geodis Wilso. All purchases are sent from Denmark within 4 business days. If an item in your order is not in stock and cannot be sent within the usual 4 days, and does not come into stock within another 4 days, we will send the part of your order that is in stock and the rest when it becomes available.
How do I pay?
After you have entered your address and the delivery address (if different from yours), click on “Next,” review your order and accept it, then click on “Buy Now” and choose your method of payment. At Illums Bolighus you can pay with Dankort, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, JCB, Eurocard and American Express. When you have chosen the card you wish to use, enter the card number, expiration date and security code. Then click “Process payment”. The total purchase price will be deducted from your account only when the items are sent.
How can I get a receipt for my order?
As soon as you click on “approve order”, we will confirm your purchase with a unique order number. We recommend that you print this order confirmation or write down your order number. A few minutes after you place your order, you will receive an email which confirms the delivery address. You will also receive an email as soon as your order is sent. .
How will my order be sent and what does it cost?
You can see the shipping costs for your order when you finish your purchase. We send all orders in Denmark by UPS or by Post Danmark’s parcel post at their standard rates. All international orders are sent by UPS or Geodis Wilson. UPS shipping costs depend on the weight of the parcel and are therefore calculated individually. All furniture are sent with Geodis Wilson. Customs duty is calculated and paid in the country of the recipient, independently of Illums Bolighus. Please note that if a package is not collected or if it is refused, we reserve the right to charge you for the shipping costs of returning items via Post Danmark or UPS
In these days of spyware and identity theft we at Illums Bolighus take security very seriously and have always made it a top priority. All payment information from your credit card and your account is deleted the moment your purchase is completed. If the item you ordered is sold out, not in stock, or discontinued we will not be able to complete the purchase of the desired item as quickly as we would like, because we no longer have your payment information. If this is the case, you will be contacted by our Customer Service team.
