Suede Care

How to keep suede beautiful season after season

Suede is known for its soft, matte look and luxurious finish - but many people shy away from investing in it because they think it's too delicate. The truth is that with the right care, suede can last for many years and maintain its distinctive look, even with frequent use.

Waterproofing is the key to durability

The most important thing you can do for your suede products - especially shoes and boots - is to waterproof them regularly. We recommend impregnating 1-2 times a year, and always after cleaning with water. Waterproofing forms a protective barrier against dirt, water and road salt and helps preserve the structure of the suede.

How to remove dirt - without damaging the material

If your suede shoes have become dirty, avoid soaking them. Instead, you can use this simple trick: Hold the shoe over steam from a pot of boiling water. The steam will gently loosen the dirt without damaging the material - and most importantly, without dissolving the adhesives. After steaming, you can gently brush the surface with a suede brush to restore the rough, soft texture.

Suede care tips

  • Use suede spray to protect against water and dirt.
  • Use a special suede brush to preserve the texture.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources - this can dry out and bleach the material.
  • Store your suede products in a dry and ventilated place - preferably with shoe blocks if they are shoes.
