PH Snowball, dusty green/high lustre chrome plated

Poul Henningsen presented the pendant together with the PH 5 at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen in 1958. At the time, the PH Snowball didn't attract much attention. However, it did when it was relaunched in 1983, when the world really realised its amazing glare-free light distribution. Poul Henningsen continued to work with Louis Poulsen after the 1925 Paris Exposition, where they worked together for the first time. Throughout his career, Poul Henningsen worked tirelessly to create direct glare-free light in a design where reflections and shades add a pleasant glow to the light. The luminaire emits a diffused, glare-free and comfortable light. The lacquer finish with matt undersides and glossy tops ensures a beautiful reflection of the diffused light and creates a very uniform light emission around the luminaire. When switched on, the upper part appears luminous and the lower part switched off.
