The mattress is a two-part, OEKO-TEX® certified special mattress with rounded corners, designed to fit the Sebra Bed, Baby & Jr., both in the baby stage and as an extended junior bed. It has been tested and meets the safety requirements of the European standard EN16890:2017. The cover is FKTV-certified and thoroughly tested to ensure it is free from harmful chemicals and allergenic substances. The FKTV certification is a mark of quality that provides reassurance that the mattress is safe and healthy for your baby to sleep on. The cover is soft and made from quick-drying polyester and TENCEL™. TENCEL™ consists of natural fibres that absorb moisture, helping regulate humidity while the child sleeps. Combining these two materials ensures a comfortable sleeping environment with an ideal temperature. Along the cover's sides is a strip of extra breathable ventilation material, ensuring optimal air circulation. A safety zipper prevents the child from accidentally opening the cover. The cover can be opened with a paperclip when it needs to be washed at 60°C. The mattress's core is made from high-quality Flake foam and Orbis foam. The foam is LGA-certified and has undergone extensive health and environmental safety testing. The LGA test ensures you get your child a safe and hygienic mattress. The two types of cold foam provide excellent sleeping comfort and maintain their shape so the mattress does not collapse over time. You, therefore, have a 5-year labour warranty on the Signature mattress. The mattress's wave-shaped underside ensures moisture is transported away, keeping the mattress fresh and hygienic. A portion of the mattress foam is made from leftover materials from previous productions. This means no material waste, and the mattress core may vary in appearance from one mattress to another. When you order the Signature mattress, you receive two mattresses. The larger mattress is used in the first stage when your child is a newborn until the need for a longer bed arises. The extension piece is used when you extend the Sebra Bed to a junior bed so the mattress can grow with your child. This means no additional purchases are needed as your child grows. Note: Always replace a mattress if your child sleeps in a second-hand bed. A used mattress is not hygienic, and research shows that a pre-used mattress can lead to allergies and skin problems.
